How To Target Typed URL vs Bookmarked Pages

Like Tweet Pin it Share Share Email

Targeting visitors who manually type in a URL into the browser address bar can be done in either of two ways.
Because all domains contain a period ( . ), if you target the previous page URL that doesn’t contain a period it will enter the visitor into the campaign because they typed directly without a previous page. A simple way to get around building a script.

  1. Targeting Typed URL’s

This can be done by using the following target:

    Site Pages

    Previous Page > URL > Contains > "."
  1. Targeting Bookmarked Pages

This can be done by using the following target:

    Site Pages

Previous Page > URL > Does Not Contain > "."
